Although in 2009 there will be as many as 100 candles on its birthday cake, only for 20 years the Hotel Draga Lovran delight gourmets across Europe, including the Austro-Hungarian Emperor Franz Joseph. For the next 80 years to follow, it was sound asleep, as in 1923, far more dangerous flames than those of birthday candles seriously damaged it, and only its new owners and their genuine appreciation of true values ​​saved it from utter oblivion. Hotel Draga Lovran has been living in the fullest since 2005 when it was opened again after complete reconstruction in accordance with the authenticity of the building itself.
