The hotel is located in the heart of Harstad City Center, 50 meters from the bus station and Hurtigrutekaien. The hotel was reopened on 8 June after a fire, and all of the hotel's 88 rooms have been completely renovated.
From autumn 2007 it is a two hour drive to Lofoten.
Harstad is a small town with 23,000 inhabitants. The town lies in scenic surroundings with a short distance to beautiful skiing and hiking terrain, as well as fishing possibilities both in the sea and freshwater.
The most visited tourist attractions are Trondenes Church, Adolfkanonen and Grottebadet, Scandinavia's largest bathing resort in the mountains.
